Congratulations Matt Rowell - #1 Pick in the AFL Draft
CJFC congratulates former Cobra Matt Rowell on being selected by the Gold Coast Suns as Pick #1 in the 2019 AFL Draft.
This is a magnificent achievement by Matt who played over 100 games for the Club, and was awarded the 2015 CJFC Club Champion trophy.
Matt started his football journey at Mont Albert Auskick and progressed through the pathway program of the Cobras from U8 to U14, and then onto the Boroondara Hawks for U15.
Matt has been generous in giving back to the Club this year in assisting with training our U9 teams - a fine young man and a great example to our junior footballers.
Matt's parents Louise and David have also been great contributors to our club over many years, culminating with both being awarded Life Memberships in 2015.
The Rowell's are a true Cobras family, and we wish Matt every success in his football career.
Our Cobras 2019 Grand Finalists

Congratulations to our 3 Grand Final teams who played off on Sunday, September 1.
Our U12 Girls bought home their second Premiership in a row in a stunning 51 to 13 win over Park Orchards. Great effort girls!!!
The U13 Boys (Blue) went down in a tough encounter against Banyule, with the result in the balance until the final quarter.
And the U15 girls went agonisingly close with a 6 point loss to the previously undefeated Bulleen Templestowe. After falling 3 goals behind early in the last quarter, the girls had all the play against the wind but couldn't quite reel them in. An amazing effort.
