Under 12 Greens Premiers for 2018 - Canterbury Cobras
September 2 - Grand Final Day
Our Cobras Under 12 Girls have capped off an amazing first season with a Premiership on Sunday morning against the Doncaster Cats. The Cobras ran out winners by 30 points at Macleod Park. A four goal to nothing third quarter set up the Premiership for the Cobras. Despite a spirited final term from Doncaster, they could not challenge the girls who had the score on the board. It was Canterbury's 3rd win over Doncaster in 2018.
Cobras 7. 4-46
Doncaster 2. 4-16
Goal kickers, Wotherspoon 3, Wapshott 2, Halliday 1, Dimattina 1
Earning the Best on the Ground in the Grand Final Medal was Elizabeth Wotherspoon for her three goals and what the umpire described as a great performance in the centre and forward line. In presenting each player with their premiership medal, Coach Peter Scott highlighted the hard work and commitment that has gone into establishing Girls Footy at Canterbury JFC in 2018.
Congratulations to all the girls on this historic victory, our first ever Girls Premiership. A big thank you to all the parents, in particular coach Peter Scott, Assistant Coach Cam Bain and Team Manager Lorin Shand.
A big thanks to all the Cobras families who came to add their voices and support. We look forward to flying the flag during our Presentation Day on Sunday.

Thanks to all the boys and girls who atteneded Tuesday's training session with Shane Edwards and Jacob Townsend from the Richmond Football Club.
